P.Oxy. XLIV 3192

Sworn Declaration

ed. A. K. Bowman

EES: Papyrology Room, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

Aurelius Timotheus decares on oath that he has never engaged in the trade of selling donkeys and is not doing so at present. The reason for this declaration is that he has been 'harassed' by the donkey-sellers of Oxyrhynchus in connection with the supply of two donkeys to the magister rei privatae.
