Dionysius, a citizen of Alexandria, complains that he has been mugged:
"Yesterday...persons unknown armed with swords attacked me in the manner of bandits beyond the village of Hiera Nicolaou in front of the watchtower, and assaulted me with numerous blows so as to endanger my life. Not only that, but they also stole all the clothes and money I had, and a gold ring I had."
