P.Oxy. LIV 3725

ed. P. J. Parsons

EES: Papyrology Room, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

AP 5.40 and 11.241 appear consecutively in fr 1; the Anthology's editor ascribes both to Nicarchus, an imitator of Lucillius in the second half of the first century. "His poems reached Egypt quite quickly; that does not prove the theory that he was himself Egyptian ... but may support it."
