My research focusses on the administrative and political evolution of
Sicilian communities during the Roman Republic and Principate. Some of
its aspects are the changes of the cities' juridic status, their
different magistracies and political bodies, the latinization and the
relationships between the elites of each city. The main source for
this study is epigraphy in Greek, Latin and, to a lesser extent,
Punic. I did my PhD (in cotutelle between Université Paris 1
Panthéon-Sorbonne and Universidad del País Vasco EHU/UPV, 2020) on
Roman taxation in Sicily and Sardinia during the Republic and its
socio-economic consequences, which produced some publications such as,
"Alcune note sull'iscrizione trilingue di S. Nicolò Gerrei (CIL X,
7856 = IG XIV, 608 = CIS I, 143)", " Contadini, allevatori e guerra
nella Sardegna romano-repubblicana" or "La ganadería en las Verrinas:
la visión ciceroniana de los pastores en el granero de Roma".
