Fiona Phillips
Research Assistant at CSAD
Fiona is a third-year DPhil candidate working on an epigraphic thesis entitled The Carian Alphabet. She has been digitising and cataloguing the W.H. Buckler archive of epigraphic material from the American excavation of Sardis (1910--1914) held in CSAD. In collaboration principally with Prof. Annick Payne (Università Ca' Foscari, Venice, PI of the Communication in Ancient Anatolia project ) she is using this archive — and in particular its squeeze collection -- to prepare a modern edition of the Lydian-language epigraphic corpus.
